Project One — Security concept hero

Too much noise, too little clarity

The problem

Imagine starting the day with dozens of alerts, five tools, and no obvious priority. The challenge in this sample brief: help an administrator understand what needs attention without opening every screen.

Make the next step obvious

What it had to do
  • Bring urgent issues into one readable overview.
  • Keep device details close, without losing the bigger picture.
  • Use consistent patterns as the product grows.

Start with the everyday journey

How I worked

The concept starts with a simple journey: scan the overview, investigate a risk, then take action. Mapping those moments helps distinguish essential information from background detail.

From there, the design uses a shared language of tables, side panels, and status labels. These example screens illustrate the approach; research findings and usability evidence will replace the placeholders.

Three decisions that shape the story

The build

01  Prioritize the signal. A clear overview brings urgent risks forward and keeps routine activity in the background.

02  Keep context close. A side panel reveals the details of a device while the larger list stays in view.

03  Make patterns familiar. The same labels, colors, and actions carry across alerts, devices, and protection policies.

A clearer path forward

Reach out
The result

The proposed direction turns a collection of tools into one focused workflow. The next step would be to test whether people can find an urgent issue, understand it, and act confidently. No measured results are claimed for this placeholder concept.

The goal is simple: fewer moments spent asking where to go, and more confidence about what to do next.

Design intention

Clarity starts with the next decision.
